On snow in July - - pretty cool :)
If you want, go to the Rocky Mtn Nat'l Park website and see the map. This scene is on Trail Ridge Rd (Hwy 34) at Rock Cut. A little later, we passed the highest point on a paved road in the whole US - 12.183 ft. It took us from 1pm until 9pm to drive from Estes Park to Grand Lake and back. We saw many SCENIC overlooks (I overheard a man say that it rivaled the Alps), the headwaters of the Poudre River on which we will go whitewater rafting tomorrow (it was only a piddly trickle here), the continental divide (you see Stewart's Test to see one squirt of water--half of which will flow to the Pacific and half to the Atlantic [unless of course the very high winds dry it before we drive away]), we saw wlk, moose, etc., and an absolutely BEAUTIFUL view of the full moon over the mountains (most of the pictures didn't turn out, but I do now suggest visiting all of our national parks at full moon). This will probably be our last video upload, as this is going on thirty minutes and the kids are out of control waiting to go on our hike. This is Monday, and we take the Ouzel Falls trail or until a bear gets us.
NO VIDEO - sorry, took way too long. But view our last pictures from Sun aft and nt.
